Serving our community since 1947, Poplar Bluff Industries is a not-for-profit economic development organization which works with expanding and relocating companies who are considering a location in the greater Poplar Bluff, Missouri area. Poplar Bluff Industries is the Economic Development Authority (EDA) for the city of Poplar Bluff and Butler County Missouri.
Area History
Early Settlers chose an uninhabited bluff on Black River on which to place the town that would contain their governing offices. They named it Poplar Bluff, for the beautiful poplar trees that grew there. Poplar Bluff continued to grow through the 1800’s and was officially incorporated in 1870.
Board of Directors
Poplar Bluff Industries Board of Directors is made up of fifteen members, each serving a three year term. Listed below are the 2022 Board of Directors.
